With Congress’s return from recess this week, there are several Committee hearings scheduled that will be relevant for the AANHPI small business community.

Tuesday, September 10th:
House Small Business Committee
The full Committee convened to conduct a markup of seven small business bills.

House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health
The Subcommittee on Health held a hearing on the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) unified Human Foods Program and Center for Tobacco Products. Witnesses from the Human Foods Program and the Tobacco Center shared how the FDA is helping adult smokers quit, keeping illegal products away from kids and ensuring safe food supply. The hearing can be viewed here.
Thursday, September 12th:
Senate Committee on Finance
The Senate Finance Committee is scheduled to hold a hearing on September 12th at 10:00 AM which will focus on sunsetting provisions of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The hearing will be live streamed on the Committee’s website.
