National ACE Congratulates Verizon and Frontier on Regulatory Approvals to Complete Transaction
[January 21, 2026 - Washington, D.C.] – The National Asian/Pacific Islander American Chamber of Commerce and Entrepreneurship (National ACE) congratulates Verizon Communications Inc. and Frontier Communications Parent, Inc. on receiving all required regulatory approvals for their proposed transaction.
According to the company’s announcement, the transaction will bring Frontier’s fiber internet together with Verizon’s 5G mobile network. Verizon will have an expanded reach of almost 30 million fiber passings across 31 states and Washington, D.C., delivering better value and more choices to millions more customers across the country.
“At a time when entrepreneurs are increasingly operating in digital environments, investments that strengthen broadband infrastructure can support productivity, innovation, and competitiveness among small businesses,” said National ACE President and CEO Chiling Tong. “We look forward to seeing how Verizon’s expanded fiber capabilities can help advance connectivity in ways that support entrepreneurship, innovation, and community resilience.”
Small businesses depend on high-quality broadband and communications services to support daily operations, reach customers, manage payments, and adopt new technologies. The combination of Verizon’s national network capabilities with Frontier’s fiber footprint may create opportunities to enhance network reach and reliability, particularly in markets where connectivity remains a challenge.
Enhanced broadband infrastructure supports e-commerce platforms, digital marketing, video conferencing, cybersecurity solutions, and other technologies that are increasingly essential for small firms to thrive in a digital-first economy. Frontier and Verizon customers are expected to gain access to new services and savings that are slated to launch after closing.
