This event is about the factors that impact the ability to access capital as a business owner.

Learning objective:

This includes information that business owners should know when seeking access to capital, as well as how to improve the odds of approval. It will also review different types of financing options for small businesses.

This event is part of a 10-session live event series coordinated by Digital Ready partner National ACE, and featuring subject matter experts from the AAPI community. Each event aligns with a course that has been updated with captions and a worksheet translated into Simplified Chinese. About the Speakers

Evelyn Fonseca is a Small Business Solutions Advisor who is passionate about helping small business owners thrive. She started her banking career on October 31st, 2016, as a part-time teller. Evelyn was able to develop her banking skills through the teller window, client interactions, and education at CSUN. She understood that to better serve and empower her clients, she needed to empower herself first by learning the different lines of business within her firm. Evelyn was exposed and discovered her passion for Business banking through Connie, the BSA at the Melrose and Fairfax Financial Center. Evelyn shows her commitment to her clients by providing them with the solutions and resources that will support the growth of their businesses.

Florita T Rodriguez began her career at Bank of America in 2004. Throughout her tenure, she has held the role of a Financial Center Manager, until recently in 2022, when she made her move into Business Banking. She joined business banking in the role of Commercial Associate before being promoted to Relationship Manager in 2024. 

Florita left the Bank for a few years. She ran her own business with State Farm from March 2011 through March of 2014, before re-joining Bank of America in June 2014. While an agent of State Farm Florita held the following licenses: Series 6, Series 64, Life & Health, and Property & Casualty. Florita is committed to best serve those in the communities in which she works, visits, and resides.
